Decision fatigue occurs when we become mentally exhausted from making numerous decisions throughout the day. As a result, we make poorer decisions because our brains are just too tired to think.
Fortunately, there are steps you can take to prevent yourself from getting mentally exhausted. Here are five simple strategies that can prevent decision fatigue.
“Remember that you can’t start waking up with more brain power, but you can modify your environment in a way that uses your brain power more efficiently.”
“Decision fatigue is that feeling that you get when you’re just exhausted by those 35,000 decisions that you make every single day.”
“By afternoon, you might struggle to make decisions. And we know that when we have to make a lot of decisions, we get overwhelmed, we feel anxious, we get stressed out, and we feel tired.”
“If you simplify those little decisions that don’t matter, you’ll have way more brain power to focus on more important decisions.”
